Industrial cluster planned in Bhopal

The Madhya Pradesh government is taking steps to develop the state's industrial potential. Not only is it planning to set up an engineering cluster in Bhopal, it has already started work on an automobile industry cluster in Pithampur near Indore.

"Work on the Bhopal engineering cluster will start soon," a Madhya Pradesh Audyogik Kendra Vikas Nigam official said.

"There are more than 700 engineering units in Bhopal and most of them are small-scale units. Of them, 350-400 units are sick. The idea behind developing a cluster is to make these units financially viable," he said.
