Industries' adalat resolves 43 cases

The state industries department today resolved 43 out of 86 grievances on the spot at the Kaigarika Adalat (industries adalat) held here today. The micro, small and medium enterprises from Bangalore Urban district had participated at the Adalat held at Kassia Bhavan.

Murugesh R Nirani, minister for industries and commerce, who chaired the function, said the government was committed to the overall development of the industrial sector in the state. Several initiatives have been taken to improve infrastructure facilities in the state.

“Our aim is to make Karnataka the number one destination for industrial investment in the country. Our new industry policy is aimed at generating one million jobs in the next five years,” he told reporters. He said during the last two years, the state has registered 26,786 micro, small and medium enterprises.

 

The government is also planning to develop a Suvarna Karnataka Development Corridor project across the state, he said and added that the government has proposed to develop industrial townships at various places, he said.

The state has so far settled 257 cases out of 554 cases received at various Kaigarika Adalats held at various places in the state. Till now, the industries department has held Kaigarika Adalats at Belgaum, Mangalore, Mysore and Gulbarga.

At today’s Kaigarika Adalat, issues relating to land, power, water, labour, infrastructure development and environment pollution were discussed and resolved.
