Inflation drops to 3.01% on cheap fruits, spices

The fall in prices of fruits and vegetables and condiments/spices saw inflation based on the wholesale price index (WPI) decline to 3.01% for the week ended November 24 when compared with 3.21% in the previous week. 

Inflation stood at 5.55% in the corresponding period of the previous year.

The government revised inflation for the week ended September 29 to 3.36% from the reported level of 3.26%.
