Inflation drops to 4.07%

Inflation based on the wholesale price index (WPI) declined to 4.07% for the week ended 2 February from 4.11% in the previous week.

The inflation was at 6.58% in the corresponding week a year ago.

The government revised the inflation rate to 3.84% for the week ended 8 December, 2007 as against the reported level of 3.65%.
