Inflation drops to 7.81%

 The index for basic metals alloys and metal products' group index plummetted 1.3% to 205 points due to cheaper lower prices of blooms, billets, slabs and skelps (5% each), joist and rolls, mild steel and tensile plates and CR coils (4% each), angles, channels and sections and CR sheets (3% each), zinc (2%) and other iron steel, bars, rods and wire products (1% each). But prices rose for aluminium extrusion (5%), aluminium rolled products (3%) and MS bars and rounds, aluminium ingots and other aluminium material (1% each).

A whopping 26% fall in the prices of computer and computer-based systems pushed downward machinery and machine tools' group index by 0.1% to 137.7 points. However, prices moved up in case of material handling equipment (24%), electric motors - three phase (3%) and dry cell (1%).

A 6% hike in prices of car chassis pushed upward the transport equipment and parts' group index by nearly 1% to 153.7 points.
