Inflation moves up to 4.92%

Inflation based on the wholesale price index (WPI) moved up to 4.92% for the week ended August 12 from 4.82% in the previous week as essential items like fruits and vegetables as well as some manufactured products became dearer.

Inflation was at 3.67% during the corresponding week of the previous year.
