An integrated textile processing park comprising three or four parks would soon be set up at Cuddalore to promote textile processing.

The South India Mills Association (SIMA) has already blocked around 1100 acres of land and the work for the first park has commenced with 300 acres, said S V Arumugam, the newly elected president of SIMA.

At the association's annual general meeting (AGM) held in Coimbatore, he said that SIMA seeks to reduce the price of BT cotton seeds and to increase the cotton production by achieving a target of 300 lakh bales.
