Ambattur Industrial Estate Manufacturers' Association (AIEMA) and AIEMA Technology Centre (ATC) will be organising ACMEE 2006, a biennial industrial trade exposition for engineering goods, during June 8-12 at the Chennai Trade Centre. |
A release said that the theme of ACMEE 2006 would be 'An Opportunity for Growth'. The expo would provide total guidance for the entrepreneurs starting their enterprise in product selection, marketing opportunities, financial arrangement, government schemes and availability of infrastructure facilities. |
The exhibitors, besides demonstrating their products, would also have opportunities to conduct seminars in topics of current interest. A number of financial institutions are likely to support this event. |
Apart from local participants, a number of participants from England, Australia, Switzerland, Korea, Germany and Israel are expected to participate in the expo. |
The event will have a stall area of 5454 sq mt, including 600 sq m for international participation. About 600 companies are expected to participate in the event. The event is expected to attract 1,75,000 visitors and generate business worth at least Rs 60 crore. |
Started in 1994, ACMEE, which signifies five thrust areas such as automobiles and allied services, computers and peripherals, machinery and machine tools, electricals and equipment and electronics and controls, has been providing a platform for the manufacturers to showcase/launch their new products and technologies. |
