Intl textile fair in Coimbatore in March

The International Textile Technology and Machinery Expo (ITGME 2006) will be hosted in Coimbatore from March 3 to 6 next year.
 
Over 500 participants, including 200 overseas firms are expected to take part and exhibit their products and services. The fair is being organised by Hitech International Trade Fair India Private Limited.
 
In a press statement, M A Rayappan, chairman, Hitech International Trade Fair India Pvt Ltd, said, "ITGME 2006 will provide a platform for exchange of knowledge and technology among the various stakeholders of textile industry. Products, process and machineries will be showcased whose price will range from Rs 1,000 to Rs 1.25 crore. This wide range will cater to the needs of user- industries falling under varied categories in size."
 
ITGME 2006 will display a wide range of 'cutting-edge' technologies and products pertaining to the different sectors of textile industry.
 
Exclusive stalls will be set up to focus on the various stages in the process of textile manufacture like cotton, ginning, simplex"� spinning, carding, textile accessories, weaving, yarn dying, bleaching and fabric dying. "We expect around 30,000 business visitors and 60,000 general visitors to participate in the fair," he added.
 
Visitors are expected from the adjoining textile belt of Coimbatore. Almost 30 per cent will come from other regions like Bangalore, Surat, Ludhiana, Ahmedabad, Delhi and Mumbai. Participants from Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Malaysia and South Africa will also take part.
