InvestBhubaneswar-2010, a three-day symposium to be held in the city from December 18-20 to facilitate investment and boost entrepreneurship, will focus on tourism, infrastructure, higher education, energy, mines & minerals and clean technologies.
The event will offer a platform for interaction between the key policy makers of the state government and the prospective investors. The mega event is expected to be attended by over 300 delegates including 60 foreign delegates.
Speaking about this symposium Dhanada K Mishra, convener, InvestBhubaneswar said, “This symposium will facilitate state level and local entrepreneurship. Also, it will showcase Orissa's business potential internationally. Our ultimate objective is to brand the state as an investor friendly state. There will be a large delegation from USA, Japan and other countries who would be participating in the event”
C J Venugopal, CMD, Industrial Promotion and Investment Corporation of Orissa Ltd (Ipicol) said, “Investment promotion is never an event, it is a process. The state which offers the best advantage to an investor is the destination of choice. To pull them, business environment has to be welcoming as the investors are on the look out for availability of skilled manpower, quality of life as well as enabling policies.”
