ISO to boost quality

Consultants should go for ISO certification to be more conscious about quality, said A K Mahapatra, managing director West Bengal Consultancy Organisation.

Speaking at a seminar, 'An overview of Consultancy Scenario in the region', Bhattacharya said, consultants should be more quality conscious so as to develop captive clients.

"To this end I suggest that consultants should endeavour to acquire ISO certification, which may also help them to provide a better quality of life."

Bhattacharya pointed out that quality of services of such consultants vary widely. "At times, one-man consultancy service providers pose an uneven competition creating problem towards healthy growth of consultancy sector."
