Income Tax (IT) department today cracked down on builders and paper mills by carrying out search and seizure operations at various locations in and outside Gujarat.
"Around 34 premises of three industrial groups were searched which include Radhe Developers, Saumya Construction and Rainbow Papers," said sources.
As many as 200 IT officials started searches and seizures from today morning.
The officials searched premises of these industrial groups in Gujarat, Mumbai and Delhi. Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Valsad and Vapi locations of these groups were searched by the IT department.
Large amount of unaccounted money and papers were found during the search operations. "The papers are being analysed," IT department said in a release.
