The Jammu and Kashmir government has sought early release of about Rs 45.35 crore sanctioned for various developmental works in the state by the Centre, citing limitations of working period because of weather vagaries. |
The state government complained that under the central road fund, 120 schemes had been submitted to the Centre, of which 39 schemes have been sanctioned by the Union ministry of road transport and highways at an estimated cost of Rs 118 crore. |
Against this, Rs 7265.88 lakh have been released by the Centre, said the State's PWD Minister G A Mir, who met Union Surface Transport Minister T R Baalu in the state. |
He said as many as 80 more proposals were still lying with the Union road transport and highways ministry for approval, which included the revised project proposal for the development of North-South Corridor Phase-II. |
