The special CBI court on Monday extended the judicial custody of Kadapa MP YS Jagan Mohan Reddy (Jagan), the prime accused in the alleged quid pro quo deals involving his companies, till June 25.
The court hall witnessed a brief commotion when Jagan, who was brought to the court from a local jail on the expiry of his judicial remand in the morning, threatened to stage a fast unto death for being treating as an ordinary criminal by the police. He took exception for taking him in an ordinary police van to the court for the first time on Monday.
