Jaipur show set to dazzle jewellery business

The Jaipur Jewellery Show (JJS), to be held here from December 22-25, is promising to be a big success with a number of international companies having confirmed their participation in the mega show.
 
The jewellery show will be inaugurated by president of the prestigious international body, CIBJO, Gaetano Cavalieri, on December 22. Cavalieri is also the president of the Italian Federation of Gold, Silver and Jewellery wholesalers.
 
London-based Confederation Internationale de la Bijouterie, Joaillerie et Orfevrerie (CIBJO), also known as the World Jewellery Confederation, is an international confederation of jewellery, gemstones, horology, and silverware trade organisations.
 
Over 350 stalls have been booked "" an increase of 50 stalls from the last year. Over 90 per cent are repeat bookings, thus signifying success in sales and networking in the past years.
 
This time, along with India, the show will also see the participation of China, Thailand, Turkey, Hong Kong and the US, displaying their jewellery and taking part in seminars and networking.
 
Convener of the show, Vimal Chand Surana, said a company from New York (Jain Centre of America) has confirmed its participation and so has one from Shenzhen (Shenzhen Quanxing Gems Ltd) in China. As many as five companies from Bangkok have booked their space at the show.
 
From Turkey it is Baymonte Mounting Jewellery which is going to display its jewellery.
 
Surana said the exhibitor from New York will be displaying aquamarine statues while the others will be displaying gems and jewellery items.
 
The mega jewellery show will also have some knowledge sharing moments. This year too four seminars will be held during the event. On December 23 a seminars on 'Tanzanite Grading' conducted by the International Gemmological Institute will be organised.
