Jaswant to meet CMs on VAT

 Minister of State for Revenue Shripad Naik said the meeting would be held ahead of that of the empowered committee of state finance ministers in January, when a new date for introduction of VAT would be set.

 The government will soon formulate rules to check benami transactions, which result in revenue leakage.
