JD(S) will fight the coming elections to Bruhut Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (city corporation) on its own and would not forge electoral ties with any political outfit, H D Kumaraswamy, party’s Karnataka unit president said today.

Speaking to reporters here he said the organisational elections in the party would be completed in about three and a half months.

The former chief minister who shared power with BJP under a coalition arrangement in 2006 came down heavily on the saffron party government’s ‘Vikas Sankalp Utsav’ charging that BJP was strengthening the party using tax payers money .

The BJP government led by chief minister B S Yeddyurappa has ignored the state’s development, he alleged.

The state government is contemplating to hold election to BBMP during next month.

A draft notification for delimitation of wards from the existing 100 to 198 in the wake of enlargement of the BBMP jurisdiction from 240 sq kms to 840 sq kms with the inclusion of seven city municipal councils, one town panchayat and 110 villages around Bangalore was issued today calling for objections.

Public can file their objections within 15 days.
