Jharkhand & #8217;S Surplus Budget Fails To Appease Opposition

The surplus budget of 2003-04 of Jharkhand failed to appease the opposition legislators of Jharkhand Assembly.

Jharkhand finance minister, Mrigendra Pratap Singh, presenting surplus state budget of Rs 9,489.32 crore for the 2003-04 fiscal spared new tax proposals adding the budget surplus by Rs 11.71 crore.

He said that a hike in plan outlay of Rs 2,900 crore would boost the development and help to achieve objectives of creation of Jharkhand.
