K'taka MPs discuss pending projects with Thakur

Members of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha from Karnataka today held a meeting with Governor Rameshwar Thakur and discussed proposals and issues pending with the Centre, and proposed to be taken up in the upcoming Budget session of Parliament.
 
Thakur noted that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh during his visit to the state in August last year had reviewed the state agriculture sector and Finance Minister P Chidambaram reviewed certain import investment proposals which required inter-ministerial coordination at Delhi and follow-up by the state government also.
 
"We have been regularly monitoring the decisions taken at that review meeting and have also proposed several follow-up projects," Thakur told the meeting at Vidhana Soudha.
 
"The Cabinet Secretary, Government of India, is also scheduled to review these pending proposals on the 20th of this month with state chief secretary and other senior officers."
 
The Governor requested the MPs from Karnataka, which is under the President's Rule, to follow-up these projects and ensure that the requirements of the state for its progress and development.
