A high level delegation led by K Ratna Prabha, Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Commerce and Industry, Government of Karnataka and Gaurav Gupta, Commissioner for Industrial Development today held a series of B2B meetings with potential investors from across the world at the Vibrant Gujarat at Gandhinagar, the government said in a statement.
The Karnataka delegation consists of more than 75 business delegates. The delegation interacted with a large number of companies and delegations to attract investments in to the State and to promote trade.
The delegation met various foreign delegations that participated in the event namely the India China Council for Economic Cooperation, Singapore Business Federation and delegation from Israel. The officials discussed various investment avenues in Karnataka and invited them to invest in Karnataka.
The focus sectors were information technology, education, tourism infrastructure, solar energy, aerospace among others. The delegation interacted with large number of companies and Expression of Interest worth Rs 50,100 crore were received.
Some of the companies that signed MoUs include Hydro Design Management Company Pvt Ltd for setting up 1,000 Mw pumped storage hydro project for an investment of Rs 10,000 crore and a 100 Mw wave energy project at Rs 2,000 crore, Rare Earth Holdings Ltd for an LNG Terminal at an investment of Rs 9,300 crore. Convalt Energy India Pvt Ltd and Aco Investment Group have shown interest to set up 1,000 Mw solar power project at an investment of Rs 6,200 crore each
