Karnataka to give 20 cr tsunami relief

The state government will contribute Rs 20 crore to the Prime Minister's Relief Fund and send 100 tonnes of relief material to the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, chief minister N Dharam Singh said here on Friday, after a high level meeting on the issue.
 
The Indian Air Force will carry the relief material to the affected areas. Relief material includes drinking water, toilet and detergent soaps, bedsheets, dhotis and sarees, biscuits, milk powder, wheat flour, rice, onions and potatoes, sugar, edible oil, torchlights, pumpsets and diesel generators.
