The sum, which includes Rs 36.14 crore as capital component, was approved by the district development board presided over by the Minister for Health and Medical Education Mangat Ram Sharma at Kathua yesterday, said a release.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister asked the officers to strive hard to implement the plan proposals without deviation and with due consultation of the local elected representatives.
Inter-departmental coordination is imperative for the early completion of the major projects as they require the NOCs from various departments, he said.
The minister directed forest authorities to accord early clearance to the executing agencies to ensure that ambitious road projects in the hilly areas can be completed at the earliest.

He also recommended an additional Rs 10 crore as proposed by the MLAs to meet expenditure on account of MLAs proposals.
The District Development Commissioner Kathua, Sarita Chauhan said the annual plan ceiling for the year 2008-09 has been fixed at Rs 4223.37 lakh of which 3614.75 lakh is the capital component and Rs 608.62 lakh is the revenue component.
The current year's capital ceiling of the district is 15.3 percent higher than last year.
