Kerala expects Rs 15,000 cr investment in three years

The LDF government in Kerala expects to attract Rs 15,000 crore worth investment in industrial and commercial sectors in the next three years, state Industries Minister Elamaram Kareem said today.

This target was expected to be achieved, going by the Memoranda of Understanding initialled with private and public sector investors by various promotional agencies under the government, he said in a written reply in the state assembly today.

Apart from this, delegations under the Industries Minister had visited foreign countries, including the US, Europe and the Arabian Gulf, where meetings held with potential investors and NRIs.

A state-owned company for infrastructure development had been formed for creating basic facilities for investors, he added.
