The Kerala government will offer developed land to non-resident Indians in the Gulf region to set up industrial units in the state.
According to Kerala Industrial Development Corporation (KSIDC) managing director Manoj Joshi, KSIDC would offer 175 acre at its Industrial Growth Centre at Mananthery village in Thalassery at Rs 10.64 lakh an acre.
It will make available another 34 acre with roads, power and water supply and telecommunication facilities for light engineering industries at Pudussery in Palakkad on a long term lease.
About 190 acre is available with Kinfra at Kannur, Pathanamthitta and Thiruvananthapuram districts for textile manufacturing centres, food processing units, SMEs and infotainment industries. It also has a 70,000sft built-up area at the Animation Special Economic Zone for lease.
The Directorate of Industries and Commerce (DIC) is offering about 180 acre at industrial clusters in Pathanamthitta, Palakkad and Kasargod districts for outright sale or hire. The expenses on land leveling, water supply, electricity and other infrastructural developments will be shared equally by the DIC and the investors.
