The latest edition of the Kerala Travel Mart (KTM) will provide buyers from across tourism destinations a chance to meet with individual sellers through prior appointments. This is akin to a global strategy, which is executed by several major travel marts worldwide.

EM Najeeb, president, Kerala Travel Mart Society, and chairman, managing committee, KTM 2008, said as of now 25-plus appointments had already been made between buyers and sellers.

“A list of buyers has been made available to all all sellers and they have communicated to each other on the products they would find at the mart and the ones they are on the look out for,” he added.

Najeeb said the appointments-based buyer-seller dialogue would generate more business among the travel and tourism players. “We expect at least 30 per cent growth in business this year going by the increase in number of participants.”
