Kinfra Food Park Kicks Off On Sept 25

President A P J Abdul Kalam will dedicate the Kinfra Food Processing Park at Kakkanchery in Malappuram district to the nation on September 25.

The Kerala Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (Kinfra) spokesperson, K N Srikumar, said the park had been developed at a cost of Rs 19.50 crore with an assistance of Rs 4 crore from the Union ministry of food processing.

The zone caters to fruits and vegetables processing industries, milk products, poultry and meat products, and the grain-processing industry.

All the parks set up by Kinfra would include facilities such as developed land, dedicated power, continuous water supply, communications facilities as well as supporting social infrastructure such as administrative block, bank, post office and round-the-clock security.
