The killing of top Naxal leader Kishenji in West Midnapore district was a setback for the ultras, but it would not solve the problem, West Bengal Governor M K Narayanan said on Monday.
“It is a big setback to the Maoists, but killing one leader will not solve the Maoist movement,” the Governor told reporters on the sidelines of a programme here.
Narayanan, a former national security advisor, however, did not give any suggestion for a solution to the Maoist problem and it was his first reaction to the killing of Kishenji in an encounter with the joined forces at Burisole forest on November 24.
