Kulpi Port deal with Dubai World likely by Jan

The agreement for Kulpi Port in South 24 Parganas district of West Bengal with Dubai World is likely to be signed by January 2008.

The West Bengal government is in the process of finalising the draft with Kolkata Port Trust.

The proposal would be sent to the centre thereafter, said Sabysachi Sen, Commerce and Industry Secretary, government of West Bengal, on the sidelines of a seminar today.
