Kumaraswamy re-elected as JD(S) chief

Former Karnataka chief minister H D Kumaraswamy was today unanimously re-elected state unit JD(S) President, returning officer for organisational polls and JD(S) MLC H C Neeravari today announced the election of Kumaraswamy.

Kumaraswamy’s was the lone nomination received for the post of the president, he told reporters. This is the third term for Kumaraswamy. Speaking on the occasion, Kumaraswamy declared that his party’s fight against ‘scandals’ of the BJP government headed by Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa would continue.

“We will wage the battle against the BJP government alone,” Kumaraswamy who has so far released many documents to ‘expose ‘expose’ land denotification scams of Yeddyurappa government said. Kumaraswamy reiterated his charge of financial irregularities in the government’s saree distribution scheme. He slammed the opposition Congress for its failure to support JD(S) in the fight against the ‘corrupt’ BJP government.
