Lanco Kondapalli won the Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) Award instituted by the southern regional chapter of the CII. The award was given in recognition of its pioneering work in water conservation and reduction of effluent discharge from the power plant and also for its initiatives in the area of green belt development.
An initiative was taken up the company in planting 42,000 saplings and using the treated water to green the environment, according to a press release here.
