Leading Indian companies in the field of agriculture and animal husbandry, agro entrepreneurs and farmers would participate in the expo. Exhibitions would be held on agro technology, solar power, modern irrigation techniques, sugar mills, fertilisers, dairy machinery and food processing industry, he said. |
The event, jointly organised by the central government and Maharashtra's agriculture and animal husbandry department, zilla parishad and Municipal Council of Latur, would be attended by Union Home minister Shivraj Patil and Maharashtra chief minister Vilasrao Deshmukh, he added. |
The CM recently addressed a meeting of senior officials of the concerned departments in Mumbai and asked them to work towards ensuring that the expo was a grand success, official sources said. |
