Left support will be positive: Biman Bose

The Communist party of India (Marxist) Politburo member Biman Bose yesterday said his party would support the Congress "in a positive manner" for the formation of a government at the Centre.

"We are going to support the Congress in a positive manner," he told reporters at CPM headquarters here.

Bose, however, hastened to add that the question of joining such a government would be decided at the CPM politburo and central committee meeting in Delhi.

CPM politburo meets on May 15, while the central committee meeting is scheduled on May 16 and 17. Bose, along with the veteran leader Jyoti Basu and Chief Minister Buddhadev Bhattacharjee will leave for Delhi on Friday to attend the party meetings.
