The UPA-Left coordination committee meeting is likely to be held on February 13.

Leaders of the Left parties, who had yesterday rejected the February 8 date proposed by the UPA government, today told the government they were available on February 13.

This came as a big relief to the government as the Left parties yesterday appeared to be readying for a showdown bydeciding to discuss their support to the government.

Explaining the softening of stand, Left sources said although they had to keep in mind the forthcoming elections, they cannot "mix" national political compulsions with regional concerns.
