The total benefit to farmers would be to the tune of Rs 71,000 crore. The government will reimburse Rs 60,000 crore to the banks while the remaining amount (which includes unapplied interests and other charges) will be written off by the banks.
Banks have successfully implemented the programme by June 30, he said.
