A local organisation led by a former Gujarat minister will be holding black flag demonstrations in protest of the "politically motivated" Sadbhavna fast to be observed tomorrow by the Chief Minister Narendra Modi in Bodeli town in the district.

Din Dayal Seva Sangarsh Samiti founder and former minister Nalin Bhatt appealed people to boycott the day-long fast dubbing it "politically motivated". Bhatt, who was also former secretary of Gujarat Unit of BJP, termed senior leader L K Advani's recent Jan Chetna Yatra to Vadodara city as a "low-key affair".

The BJP has lost majority of assembly seats from the baroda district to Congress party in 2007 Gujarat assembly poll and Modi wants to revive the party by undertaking the fast befooling people, Bhatt said.

"Why Modi did not visit Bodeli town when 45 persons, including 42 school children were killed in a road mishap on 10th April 2008 when an ST bus carrying them plunged into a river?", he asked.

Bhatt also accused Modi of doing injustice to entire Central Gujarat by not inducting a cabinet rank minister into his cabinet from the 22 MLA's elected from the region.

"Most of the cabinet rank ministers in the Modi cabinet are from North Gujarat and Saurashtra and none of cabinet rank minister from central Gujarat, " he said.
