London firm sets shop in Punjab

A London-based firm has opened its outlet here to provide services to NRI clients interested in investing in India. Massive escalations in property prices after investments by multinational companies have enthused the firm to set shop here.

In order to provide property consultancy services for non residential Indian (NRI) clients who wish to purchase property in India, London Property Consultants recently opened its branch in the city.

"We have had a very high demand from UK residents looking for property in Punjab. Opening an office in India makes it much more convenient for us to provide information efficiently to UK clients. NRIs can now buy property in India without having to take countless trips from UK to India," Jagdev Singh Chima, managing director of the London Property Consultants said.

"There are people in the UK when they initially migrated to they sold all of their property in Punjab and therefore lost links with their motherland," he said adding that these people now wish to revive their links with Punjab, these people don't have time to come out to Punjab and search for a property themselves, so we will provide them the service which would be time saving as well as fair.

"Secondly there are also people in the UK whose children have no interest in coming back to Punjab and they have an incorrect perception of Punjab as being just village type, however we are promoting all of the new business and amenities available to NRIs in Punjab such as the prominent multi national companies and high street brands who have branches in Punjab," Cheema added.

Asked what types of property he would be selling to NRIs, Chima said "We are selling all types of commercial and residential properties however, concentrating more on newly built residential properties, which include apartments, villas, tonship plots, shopping malls and other according to demand"

Most of the NRIs of our country belong to this region, so to do such kind of business here has a very bright future, he said adding that moreover people from Punjab who are interested in purchasing property in the UK for investment purposes can contact us as we cover a large area with in the UK and can cater for most people from an enquiry of a property to completion of a sale.
