LS adjourns till noon on uproar over major scams

BJP-led opposition today created uproar in the Lok Sabha over their demand for a Joint Parliamentary Committee probe into the 2G Spectrum allocation, Adarsh Housing Society and CWG scams, leading to adjournment of the House till noon.

BJP members were on their feet demanding JPC probe into the three alleged scams with Murli Manohar Joshi and Ananth Kumar leading their party members in protesting against the government on the three issues.

Some BJP members, led by Ganesh Singh rushed into to Well of the House and raised slogans demanding a JPC probe. "This government is useless, it has to be removed," was their refrain.

 

Some of them displayed newspapers carrying reports on alleged complicity of Telecom Minister A Raja in 2G Spectrum allocation.

The principal opposition demanded a JPC probe into Adarsh Housing Society scam and the Commonwealth Games improprieties.

Meanwhile, Congress members demanded that the Question Hour be taken up.

As the din continued, Speaker Meira Kumar adjourned the House till 12 noon.
