Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh today launched the "Ludhiana City Centre", a Rs 250-crore mega project, and a joint venture of the Ludhiana Improvement Trust with Today Home and Infrastructure Pvt Ltd. |
The Ludhiana City Centre project is part of the Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar Development Scheme. Spread over 475 acres, the Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar Development Scheme was sanctioned by the government in 1979. |
At that time, 26.44 acres of land was reserved for residential and commercial plots, but its land use was changed as Ludhiana City Centre in 2001. |

The Ludhiana City Centre will have a total site area of 1,070,553 sq ft with a total ground coverage of 353,821 sq ft. Total construction area, including basement for parking, will be 2,689,604 sq ft. The Mall will have a built-up area of 107,400 square feet for shops, 52,200 sq ft for multiplex ,488,000 sq ft for offices among others. |
