After a plant at Rudrapur in Uttaranchal, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd (M&M) has launched a second satellite plant at Mehla, about 40 km from here. The plant will cater to the agricultural needs of the farmers in Rajasthan and the neighbouring states.
Planned as an agri-development centre, the state-of-the-art plant, spread over an area of 17 acre, will have a capacity of 15,000 tractors per annum, once it commences operations within the next 5 months.
The plant, in collaboration with local universities, will concentrate on developing extension programmes and research projects to address the local needs.
