MAA- Breaking new(s) ground

 The promoter trio of the Telugu satellite channel - Maa TV -- were not much a perturbed lot when they could not come out with their maiden news bulletin on October 29 evening. A jammed radio frequency equipment played the spoil-sport.

 Of course, they faced a little embarrassment as there was N Chandrababu Naidu, the chief minister, along with his ministerial colleagues T Devender Goud and S Chandramohan Reddy turned up to launch the satellite channel's first news bulletin.

 The technical team of Maa TV as well as the channel's V-Sat service provider Essel - Shyam worked hard to sort out the problem within 24 hours and the channel beamed its first evening news bulletin on October 30.
