The state government has decided to recruit teachers to meet the target of free education for all under the Right to Education Act. As part of the move, every primary school will have at least two teachers, while every middle school will have three teachers. For higher classes, there will be one teacher for every subject.

“Of the three teachers to be appointed in every (middle) school, one each will be reserved for mathematics, science and social science. We will also recruit a teacher for language subjects,” a government official said, adding that, for standard 9th and 10th, at least two teachers will be ensured for science, three for art and language and one for Sanskrit language.

For better management of resources, it has been decided to shift the surplus staff in every school to other schools, the official said.
