Press Trust of India New Delhi
The Nira Radia-promoted Magic Airlines today announced plans to operate low-budget flights in India with 10 aircraft by the year-end.

The company has filed an application with the ministry of civil aviation for obtaining a "no objection certificate" to operate the airlines under the brandname Magicair.

Announcing the venture, Radia said Magicair would redefine air travel with its unique services and value offerings, and hoped to start operations in the second half of 2005.

Operating with 10 aircraft in the first year, Magicair would have a pan-India presence connecting all major metros and other major cities including key holiday destinations.
