Maha govt steps up security

The Congress-led government in Maharashtra has tightened security at crucial installations, including the Atomic Research Centre, power stations, religious places and airports following the blast in Pune on Saturday. The blast also exposed the widening rift between the Congress and NCP. While Chavan said the government did not receive any specific information on a possible terror attack, his deputy Chhagan Bhujbal said the Centre did pass down inputs in this regard.
