Mahajan put on dialysis

BJP leader Pramod Mahajan was today put on dialysis and his condition continued to be "critical".
 
"His condition remains critical. The kidney function is poor," Dr Anupam Verma, director (administration), Hinduja Hospital said. Mahajan was admitted to the hospital after being shot at by his brother. He has undergone two surgeries.
 
Reading out from a medical bulletin, Verma said, "Effort are on to stabilise his condition as fluctuation continue to hamper his health." He said Mahajan had not regained consciousness and continued under sedation.
 
"Efforts are on to stabilise his condition before we intervene," Verma said, adding that Mahajan's pancreatic and liver injuries were being monitored.
 
Bleeding from the liver has stopped, he said.
