Malaysia, Truly Asia campaign in Punjab

Ushering in the summer holiday season and celebrating the regional launch of its "Visit Malaysia Year 2007" (VMY 2007) campaign in Punjab, Tourism Malaysia, the nodal agency for promotion of Malaysia, today announced its global marketing and promotional plans.
 
The Malaysian tourism board aims to attract more than 350,000 Indian tourists to Malaysia by 2007, when the country commemorates its 50th anniversary of independence. The board plans to invest Rs 120 million in the Indian market.
 
Elaborating on the campaign, Roslan Abdullah, director, Tourism Malaysia, said the VMY 2007 campaign was based on the theme of "Golden Malaysia where dreams come true".
 
"Tourism Malaysia through its marketing initiatives, competitive pricing and something for everyone positioning aims to attract more than 350,000 Indians to Malaysia. On offer, under the campaign, would be multiple tourism products of Malaysia. Specific thematic campaigns would be rolled out as a part of its umbrella their 'Jao to Jano-Malaysia-Truly Asia' in India,'' he added.
