Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today said all documents related to the agreement between the earlier Left Front government and Tata Motors on the erstwhile small car project at Singur would be made public.

“We are committed to (do so). All the papers are with Partha Chatterjee (industry and commerce minister) now. He is studying all the documents and will let you know about it, probably by tomorrow,” she said.

Making the documents public may, however, require approval from the Chief Information Commissioner, the appellate authority under the Right to Information (RTI) Act. An application had been filed under the RTI for making the agreement public.
