Mamata sets terms for talks

Putting the onus on Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee, Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee today said she was ready to call off her fast and hold talks on the Singur issue only if the government returned the land acquired for the Tata Motors project.
 
"If he (Buddhadeb) wants me to withdraw my hunger strike, he should accept my demand of returning the forcibly acquired land to farmers," she said.
