Andaleeb Sehgal, the prime accused in the Oil-for-Food scam, today submitted before the Delhi High Court that multi-national Masfield AG had paid commission to the deposed Iraqi President Saddam Hussain in his name and without his knowledge.

A Division Bench headed by Justice TS Thakur after hearing the arguments today would pronounce its judgment tomorrow.

Sehgal, the owner of Hamdaan Exports, said that he had signed an agreement with Masfield AG to negotiate on the "Food for Oil" deal with the Iraqi authorities but had no information about the commission paid for the contract.

According to Sehgal, he had no idea about who had deposited commission money in his accounts with Jordan National Bank while he was in India.
