Maytas Infra Ltd has completed the construction of a six-lane outer ring road for the Bangalore Development Authority (BDA). The project is in the process of being handed over to the client, the company said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
The Rs 66.62-crore project, involving construction of a six-lane dual carriageway with two-lane service roads on both sides, vehicular underpass, a minor bridge traffic signs, electrical works related to illumination, landscaping, islands and footpaths, will connect the Mysore and Magadi roads in Bangalore.
The 4.82-km-long project was awarded to the company in December 2005. The new ring road saves about 13 km of extra journey for commuters to reach Mysore besides enhancing smoother flow of traffic in the peripheral areas, Maytas said.
