MCD to go to court in a day or two: Dikshit

The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) would be approaching the High Court in a day or two, seeking more time with regard to its orders to demolish illegal constructions in the Capital, Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit said today.
 
"The court has given a direction, a verdict to the MCD. We (the Delhi government) are helping the MCD in finding ways on how to go to court," Dikshit said here.
 
"We are studying the matter. In a day or two, we will approach the court," she said.
 
Dikshit said the resolution passed by the Delhi Assembly yesterday for putting an immediate stop to the on going demolition drive had been sent to the Corporation."I had a talk with the MCD Commissioner yesterday," she said.
